Paralleling the structure of the golf instruction program, The First Tee Life Skills curriculum is divided into the following levels, starting with TARGET (for beginners) / PLAY-er and progressing through Par, Birdie, Eagle and Ace.
The Levels
- TARGET / PLAY-er - An Introduction to the Life Skills Experience
- Provides a fun and safe environment that creates curiosity about the game of golf.
- PAR - Focuses on interpersonal communication and self-management skills.
- Participants begin work on goal-setting, golf technique and etiquette.
The Birdie, Eagle and Ace levels give participants advanced instruction and practice mastering skills learned in previous levels, as well as additional topics such as conflict management, mentoring, and career planning.
BIRDIE - Emphasizes goal setting.
EAGLE - Emphasizes resistance skills, conflict resolution and planning for the future.
ACE - The most advanced level! Focuses on personal planning and reinforces life skills learned in previous levels.
